The Bi annual Lakes run (held annualy) ;D 23, 24 and 25 August The Runs will start in Cockermouth cumbria. There will be the usual pub crawl friday night for the early birds, Saturday will be a run to Maryport harbour, for fish and chips, followed by ice cream at Allonby and a short run up to Silloth, this will start at 12.00 midday from the old firestation in lorton road Cockermouth, returning there at the run end, evening will be spent in a Cockermouth pub, which stocks the localy produced Jennings ales, breakfast will be available at the Sun inn Dearham on Sunday and Monday mornings. Sundays run will start at 10.30 am again from the firestation, travelling through the Lakes and into the pennines, the evening will be spent in the Sun inn Dearham, the Landlord assures me there will be a real ale, so should keep the Beeblemonsta happy , there will be food available. Mondays run will be to devils bridge then onto Richmond in yorkshire. There will be an evening meal available on the Sunday evening, which should (once confirmed with the sun inn)consist of bangers and mash, with onion gravy, made with real cumberland sausage, for the non meat eaters, there will be a veggie version, though the sausages will probably be made out of cardboard(only joking), the price will be £6.00 a person. breakfast will be available on the Sunday and Monday mornings, priced respectivly at £5.50 per person. Those attending please indicate saying which days, at present, there are quite a few arriving on the Friday, so the more the merrier

Hi. Wouldnt mind coming up for this run, but just on the Sunday. "The Old Firestation". Silly question i know, but is this a just an old firestation, or a pub/cafe, just so i know what i'm looking for! Also, what time does breakfast start, and do you need to book it in advance? Thanks. Steve.

At the moment it's looking like just the Sunday run for me, so will see you at the Fire Station. Regards Keith ps, might be a blessing in disguise really. I still remember last years run and setting off with one almighty hang-over (too much sun) after the Saturday night ;D

Go do it - last year's was supremely enjoyable . Have to agree with Martin on that one, last years Lakes weekend was probably the most enjoyable I have been on with the club in 5 years of runs - awesome ! Wish I could be there, but instead I will be in the land of the pasty and clotted cream, which comes a very close second Hope you all have a brilliant time. Dave ;D
