Probably a bit late now but it may of been worthwhile to send a "Yorkshire language for beginners" booklet for the visitors. It would have helped those who expect to talk with the locals in cafes, chip shops and petrol stations. I am sure however that there will be plenty of Yorkshire folk on hand to translate.

Like what MLC? I have had to drop out due to health problems, but I had been quite keen to pick up some local language when I was planning to go. 'ee by goom (Fiascos fave), does that translate to Gordon Bennett or Blimey? aye 'appen; does that translate to OK? Tell us what you think, would be helpful
