I could have cried twice today. First time was when i sheared off a bleed nipple while trying to undo it.... So i got an "easy-out" reverse thread removal tool thingy and proceeded to gently tease the little bugger out. Before i knew it i'd apparently inserted the tool in too far because i'd managed to crack the wall of the caliper around the outside off the bleed nipple area. Game over. Anyone know where i can get hold of a replacement caliper, new or used? Yamaha dealer quoted me £280 for one, i'd like to shop around first but not having much luck using google.... Cheers in advance jack

if it looks the same it probably is, as it's easier to redesign a torque arm than a caliper. Just be sure to check the hoses go in and out the same, sometimes that changes model to model. The rear caliper looks the same on lots and lots of yams, new and old. Ebay after "yamaha rear caliper" and flick through, on the same rules as above.

Cheers for the info Amorti I'll bear it in mind.
5watt, good question, does anyone know off the top of their heads if an R1 rear caliper fits on a Divvy?

.. does anyone know off the top of their heads if an R1 rear caliper fits on a Divvy? Dunno - But I have an R1 rear caliper. If you want to take a few measurements from your D6 one I could compare it for you.

Oh, how we laughed!
(and learned the importance of giving those caliper bolts a quick double check and nip)

Before fitting the "new" caliper its worth soaking the bleed nipple with PlusGas before taking it out. Then put it back with some really good quality antisieze paste.
If in any doubt about the pistons sticking its well worth overhauling the caliper and cleaning out any crud. I found pattern seals jammed the caliper pistons so I had to bite the bullet and buy genuine Yamaha.
