Yep well worth the money, once registered 12 months update for free however the newer camera's take a while to appear on the database... my first one was D.O.A, my second one had a dicky GPS antenna nothing more than a dry joint where the co-ax should have been soldered to the PCB in the GPS antenna, soon fixed with a soldering iron... But Wait there's more, i also does trip logs, i have mine set to 1 minute intervals which give around 17 hours continous logging, for each log entry you get Time, Lattitude, Longtitude and current Speed.. the software which you download from the inforad website is a bit carp ! the google earth KML file that i posted in the frosty rollick thread was derived from one of these Gizmos this thread Flymo

for £24 you can't go wrong, a few peeps over at BCF bought em and fitted em without any trouble, looks like i just got unlucky but haven't had any trouble once i got it working. Man if you can afford a new bike surely you can splurge £24 Flymo

Im undecided at the mo.....
Think i'd prefer a decent gps, as im usually a) late or b) late and lost but with a gps at least im more likely only to be a)

Sparky, i have fitted the main unit under the seat on my D6, any location that stays relatively dry that you are able to get to easily will suffice, you need to be able to removed the unit for update and downloading trip data, my GPS antenna is located at the rear of my bike between the rear light and the trim panel that is above that, it can however be fitted in any convenient position provided
1) it faces more or less upright within about 30 degrees of horizontal. 2) it does not have metal of any description above it.
the LED can be positioned in a convenient place for your self, just below the level of your normal range of vision seems good because its not glaring at you but when the colour changes you peripheral vison picks the change up quite well.

thanks Flymo for the reply.found a user guide on the net. Flymo, to power the unit did you wire to the battery or a circuit on the bike.sorry for being a pain about this.

Just fitted mine, to be honest it took longer to find space under the seat of the VFR than it did to wire it up and fit the LED. Try it out this Sunday on the Notts run. Ian
