Well santa got me a prezie for the bike , drag bars , so i went to fit them earlier but seems the allen screw heads on the bar end weights have gotten chewed , was hopin to take them off and slide all levers n whatnot onto new bars . How do i get em off ?? never took bars off any bike except a pedal bike before

Try drilling the head off, as you are changing the bars anyway. Then just replace the bolts and bushes. Or try to get a slot cut into it and use a flat bladed screwdriver to remove it.

If you have an impact driver & the appropriate size allen piece, it will prob come off with a couple of whacks. If you were a bit closer you could try mine .

It wasn't so groovy the time some comedian added a "L" to all the "GROVE" signs.
That wasn't you by any chance Martin?

What a bugger lol . Got the drag bars near 100% fitted and tried it out but cant get turnin bars on full lock . Cant see a solution to prob as its the bulkyish levers stoppin it so reckon i scrap the plan , hopin to upgrade bike later this year anyway so will make do wi original bars . cheers for help guys

after fitting the bars do you have much play on cables, as you could fit a set of risers which may take up enough not to catch, i fiited lean back risers to mine which only needed me to re-route the throttle cable

was told about risers from guy in the bike club but it would slightly defeat my purpose of puttin drag bars on in first place so as i miss my sports bikes i am lookin out for another bike .
