My div has 3 and a half turns out on all screws, book says 2 turns. How many is yours set at? Mine is running rich so am going to screw in to 2.
(think previous owner messed with them!)

manual says 2 turns out like you said but, that is the factory setting for a new bike...doesn't take into consideration any normal wear, dirt, leaks etc.
Use it as a starting point but best is to adjust your screws at the best "engine running" (engine sounding) position...
A quick guideline is to adjust the screws in the middle point between gaining rpm and loosing rpm at idle.
More special work would require use of gas analyzer or manometer...

Thanks sotirisp, like you suggested i put them back to 2, and now the bike starts on the button every time. I might have a little play to get them right, it does seem a little lumpy. I found that the idle speed shot up so adjusted the idle screw and it sits nicely at approx 1200 rpm (manual spec). Hopefully it will start ok from cold too. Unbelievable!

Very easy cold starting suggests it might be a bit rich. If it revs more than normal but coughs when you blip the throttle it can actually be weak. 2 stokes are extreme on that and some wont drop anywhere near tick-over when the pilot is weak. 4 strokes less so but still tend to rev on a weak pilot jet.

It does cough a bit until its warm, so i'll unwind the screws a quarter turn
