Hi all,
I've been informed today( by the mechanic that fitted 2 new tyres), that i require a new rear shock absorber. I have a 1998, 600 S.
He demonstrated to me how the shock wasn't dampening the upward movement of the bike. I do trust the guy, and don't think he's trying to rip me off.
So the questions are
a) any recommendations on the manufacturer of the shock ?
b) where do i get it from ?
c) and what sort of cost am i looking at ?
d) I'm in Nottingham, so can anyone point me in the right direction to have it fitted ?
Many thanks Shorty ( Dave )

a) depends what your after, Hagon is better than original, Betor on a par with original
b) ebay or various resellers
c) Hagon ~ £250, Betor ~ £150
d) its an easy enough, if tedious job that you could do yourself, you could come over to bestwood and i'll help ya, or you could pay a mechanic but i don't know any sorry.

It's definitely MUCH easier on a 600 than a 900!

It's definitely MUCH easier on a 600 than a 900! Dunno about that - to swap a shock on my 900 takes about 5 mins .... but then it *is* a Kawasaki

Find the shock length between its mounts and its stroke then check ebay. I have a used WP shock on my D900 that was made for an FJ1200. It's now nearly worn out still 100% better than the Divvie shock and its rebuildable.
