hi guys firstly thank you for reading my problems ,i have recently been restoring my 1995 600 diversion but have come across two minor problems firstly i am not quite sure where one large pipe goes the pipe is about two foot long with some kind of filter about six inches from one end ,i thought it was some kind of breather pipe going around the air box aeria but im realy not sure can you help .
secondly i seem to have four spare wires but dont no where they connect wire one is an earth to the solenoid back left lower carb aeria i belive this is an earth, second wire from same aeria from solenoid this wire believe to be black not sure ,wire number three two wires together comeing out of heater switch ? right hand side carb, last two wires one is black with red stripe and a black wire theese are together close too the wires comeing from the heater switch wires but to be honest i dont no where they go or in what combination any help would be appreciated or pictures etc .regards justpurple

4 random little wires with just bullet clips on them would be carb heaters, but your bike is older than that I think and would have oil heated carbs. The pipe you mean is I think just a breather. Fiche here: 216.37.204.206/wps/Yamaha_OEM/YamahaMC.asp?Type=12&A=206 may help you work it out This is why you're meant to take photos as you take it all apart The Haynes is available to download FOC if you don't have it already.

Did you use the original harness for that model, just curious as you said it was a restore job
