I bought a fairing on ebay. It was listed as being for a 1997 XJ600s. I checked with a dealership and confirmed that a 1997 fairing was the same as the fairing for my 1999 bike. I saw an auction, ending soon, so I snapped this up. But it doesn't fit. I dont think it is actually for an XJ600s. Could it be for a 900s? Can someone please take a look at my auction below and let me know if you recognize the fairing. Notice how the top ends flat, where the 600s extends upwards slightly. This fairing is also slightly longer than the current fairing on my 600s. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=170270536378Here is an ended auction which shows the fairing that I actually needed. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260286887514See the difference? Thanks for the advice.

Yep it's for a 600, the 900 fairing doesn't have the air vents on either side like the 600 one.

I paid £61 for it.
It is a bargain really as the factory price is over £400.
It really is in perfect condition, and is in the box with some foam padding and paper wrap.
Shame too; it is a lovely colour.
Yes, I am the new seller. I put it back on ebay. But I might take it off if the seller will give me my money back. It was advertised as a 1997 fairing.

it's always worth trying to get your money back, the description was inaccurate so you might have a chance.
best of luck
