Going through some of my old pics (pre digital camera days) and found these old photos. First one may be a little tricky but I will add a couple more later - so tell me, what bike is it. (p.s. - water bike quips may earn you a smite) ;D

Looks like an FJ1200 to me! Well done! A play of the number plate gives the answer as well. This last pic shows the corner where I threw it down the road. I stopped sliding with my body half on the grass verge of the Erith Marshes and my legs still in the road. The relief at that moment was a real joy as the long slide on the other side of the road was in front of an oncoming 4 axle tipper and I was envisiaging the messy and uncomfortable possibility of my upper body being crushed! The driver got out and his only words to me were "you were f...... lucky".

Sorry bit lost on me bikes, but is a FJ a Swamaha or a Sinkzuki Wow you must be some muscle man to throw that sooo far down the road. What was wrong with it You flood it trying to start ? Still i guess what ever floats your boat, or in this case sinks your bike I have heard the saying fill ya boots. But you seem to have a new slant on this with Fill ya Bike

My bro did a similar thing with a Honda 125S back around 1978. He went "trail riding" in the dark and rode off a 15ft deep cutting into a stream (1 candlepower headlight). The other side of the stream was gentle slope, but two of us couldnt move the bike thought the soft mud. We had to drag it, by hand, up the 45 degree slope he'd just tumbled down. If the bike'd had folding footrests we'd have been stuffed as no car or truck could have got in to tow it. Lifted one end and wedged footrest into bank, then repeated the other end until it was done. Imagine that with a Divvie We took the chain off and towed it home for a hosedown (us and the bike ). In those days I had a Honda XL250. The original 4 valver with single pipe. Silver tank with black strip down the middle and genuine magnesium engine cases. Cool or what? *sob* Amazingly, the 125 and rider were undamaged.
