Ok, it seems there is no way to post here without your IP address getting recorded so fake postings are no longer possible. So I can come clean to the few who don't already know.
I was Gordon Hart. Gordon is 'Gordon', as in 'Flash' Gordon. Hart is 'Hart', as in Flashhart.
The last sentence of each of Gordon's early messages had a coded message. Take the first letter of each word in the last sentence to construct a new phrase or word.
Towards the end Gordon's log in details got passed to a lot of other people and Gordon got lazy about his secret messages.
I hope everyone enjoyed him!
I, for one, will miss the great advanced rider and mechanical genius.

I was Gordon Hart.  God no, all my riding ambitions ripped to shreds, who can i aspire to now? Thursday the 22nd of February 2007 will go down in the annals of motorcycling folk-lore as a very sad day indeed. Where's my Prozac? How can I go on trying to reach that pinnacle of motorcycling perfection that was surely a God, an Icon, the light at the end of the tunnel that I looked for in the darkest hours? Alpaholic, What a shame, the only people who can see your IP address are the managers and yourself, so you could have kept quiet hoping that we wouldn't say anything (and why should we say anything?) Gordon was an interesting character and I was pleased to see him move over here, we will all miss his witty remarks. Can someone PM me to explain how I can change IP addresses. DO I have to buy 13 more PCs so I can keep my 14 aliases secret?
And how do I hide that Ghoti and Doofer's no 1 fan both have the same IP address? Or a decent excuse to use when being grilled by Doofer over it.

What a shame the cats out the bag. Most of Gordon's posts had me in stitches. ;D I also had no idea it was TDM, I'd always secretly suspected M40Man (Martin) lol Well done TDM. Doofer, are you able to go back through the archives and start a new thread of some of the more classic Gordon Hart comments/posts, especially any with coded messages. I'm sure at lot of members would enjoy a last read - or have you kept a copy Mark? End of an era ( MSN YDC and Gordon Hart.). We'll need a knew one now.... Ady  |
