Excuse my ignorance but does a 2001 Divvy 600S have a collector box or is the exhaust just made up of the downpipes and 2 silencers. I have always assumed that before I bought it, it had been welded up somehow. Is it just the 900 that has a collector box?

Not really - unlike the D9. Two downpipes do come together down each side, or 'collect', into one, for entry into one silencer. But nothing like the arrangement under a D9 (Or a CX500, for that matter!)

So do the two downpipes come together as part of the downpipe or is a seperate collector box used to "collect" them. I think you are saying that there are only 3 parts to the 600 exhaust system - the 2 silencers and the downpipe assembly.
Thanks, Welshy

The 600 pipes join together into 2 pairs. One at the front of the LH can and one at the front of the RH can. There is no collector box like on the 900. The 600 pipes cross over so the firing pulses run evenly into each silencer can.
Ebay almost always has an advert for a stainless steel Divvie 900 collector box. It allows 900 to have parallel header pipes and not sound lumpy at tickover.
How do you get the hidden links to work on this thing. Humbug pooters

It does have a colector box but it's welded to the Stainless downpipes and not removable (except with a hack saw).

Thanks for the info. I thought the weld had been done by the previous owner.

I wanted to put "link" in my text so it could be clicked and taken to the url address. There's not enough room to display the whole ebay url.
