I have a throttle/carburetor problem (i think) with my XJ600S

The machine runs fine in all registers but the throttle is VERY sensitive, opening the throttle (turning the grip) one or two millimetres will cause it to rev up to 2500 to 3000 rev's/min immediately.

Any ideas what to do???

Throttle cable not too tight is it? Has a nice clear run to the carbs has it? Adjustment at the handlebars ok?

Nope, the throttle cable is adjusted and running smoothly
