As far as I know, if the bulb is 55watts and it will be ok for MOT purposes. Its fiddly to fit but there is no need to the remove fairing. Presume you know its most important to not touch the bulb glass.

It's a standard H4 bulb. As for most (older) cars. I doubt your MOT person would notice a brighter wattage one ;-)
I managed a bulb replacement on my frst Divvy 600 without removing 'owt else. I remember it was tight for space though.

yep standard H4 bulbs, could try the phillips vision plus ones, ( and others that give 50% more light) Can be changed without removing fairing. I found turning bars to full right lock, and coming at it (oooeerrrr) from the left..
A tip I learnt from here, put a bit of string through the new bulb lugs, so should you drop the bulb into the headlight unit, you have a chance of retrieving it again...

The Haynes manual instructions for adjusting the headlight are wrong (upside down I think). But they made zero sense to me, so did my beam adjustment by trial & error. I needed an extended screwdriver to get at the LHS adjuster screw.

I found it best coming from the right and from underneath!
