I have looked everywhere on this forum for info on this, so I aplogise in advance if it has already been covered.
Basically, I just bought a restricted Divvy 1998 plate. I want to de-restrict it and have heard that it is very easy.
Can anyone tell me how to do it?
Thanks in advance

You will have to check the carbs for the washers that restrict air flow, its the most common restriction and the cheapest method for the stealers to make more money restricting them, other forms of restriction are replacement carb slides with holes and restrictions on the slides themselves or modified carb tops or jets/needles.More than likely they are the washer type. You are going to have to consult your manual on removing carbs and looking for spacers/washers between the inlet side, if its there you will notice it straight away
where abouts are you located?

If its the washer type of restrictor between manifold and cylinder head you might need to clean the joint faces and fit new gaskets.

where abouts are you located? I'm in Bedfordshire. This seems a bit more complicated than I'd of hoped. If I take it to a garage, how much should I expect to be charged?
