There have been a couple of threads on this matter, and it seems no one is quite sure. I did email a lad who had bought a set, but after he sheared a stud, he never came back with anymore details, but did say the co said they had sold a few sets and had, had no issue's with them. These are even cheaper..... and look very much the same.

I can't comment specifically, but some aftermarket pipes seem to sit rather high. If you want to fit (or already have fitted) side luggage, the pipe outlet height will need to be looked at in case it cooks the luggage.

If you're paying that amount for that 4-1 system, you may as well stretch the extra £120 or so for the Jama 4-2 system I bought from Exactrep (www.exactrep.co.uk). 10 yr guarantee for a perfect system that fits easily.

Had another good look at the exhausts yesterday. It's only the collector boxes that have blown. Spent the morning cutting them out and I've decided to take my time and fabricate some new ones myself. I knew I brought that welder for a reason

I had to get the LH can inlet pipe welded on my 900. The guy who did it used gas welding & made a brill job. We were careful to get everything aligned and tack the joint before removing the pipes, but the welded one does stick out at a slight angle.
I guess you know this but be really careful to algn everything and tack it on the bike or there's a good chance the new pipe wont fit. If using arc dont forget to disconnect both battery leads & for good measure, I also disconnect the plug from the gennie to the rectifier.

I've cut away the collectors, cleaned up the down pipes and cans and have remounted everything on the bike. Next step is to tack some strips on (whilst still mounted to the bike) to keep the alignment and then remove them. I'll then mount them in a jig and fabricate the new collectors. Will probably take me a while but I like a challenge.

If you are really cool (& well equipped) you could make the collectors from stainless sheet.

Never welded stainless. Neighbour has offered to give me a hand, hopefully we're going to attack it next week. Declared the 'old girl' SORN today
