Hi I went for a ride out with the UKBIKERS GROUP yesterday it is a ride they call the big one, they had 100 bikes it was an awesome sight we went from Preston to settle then up to Hawes then up to a place called Tan hill some 1700 ft above sea level excellent ride at reasonable speed,s left home at 8.00 in the morning got home just after seven very tired but great ride, wish I could remember which road,s would be a great run for us. Looking forward to riding with our group soon. Paul. ;D

Nice, Is the pub still open at Tan Hill. Not been up there for must be around 20 years now.

I had a little bimble, from Cockermouth to Keswick via Winlatter pass, then on to Ambleside ard over Kirkstone pass to penrith , Hartside pass to Alston, then to Barnard castle, to Reeth for an ice cream, Tan hill inn for a soft drink, then Kirby stephen, Kendal, Windermere, then back to keswick and then Cockermouth 210 miles total and all fab roads ;D

As penfold say,s yes still open I had the biggest yorkshire pudding filled with a tanhill sausage mash potato carrots and brockley covered in thick gravy I could only manage 2 thirds of it,great place for lunch. Hey Ian if you know the roads what about leading a run for us? I know you are busy but what about just a one day jobby maybe meet at Hawes I could lead from tickle trout. Paul.
