Looks like Derby Dales to me, but don't know where exactly.
We've probably rode those roads a thousand times.
At a guess I'd say that's the A515 on the right of the pic.

Looks like you just came off Winnats Pass and are sitting between Treak and Speedwell caverns, just outside Castleton, looking out to Winn Hill (the liitle 'peak' in the photo).

Close Roger, but no cigar.
Well done Chris, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is correct.
Not to be confused with Chirk Aqueduct.
Well it is on the doorstep, plus there are all those Welsh police to annoy.

No................
What you do is slow right down to about 10mph in first, then when level with the camera van accelerate like a loon. Even better with a decent can.

Would that be Kate's Cottage in the background? Which means you would be standing with your back to the Creg Ny Baa. It was the painted kerb that gave it away.

Well you could say that Dave, cos it's Carol who's standing with her back to the Creg-Ny-Baa. I'm actually heading towards the Creg-Ny-Baa at about 60 mph.
But i wasn't going to be so picky. ;D ;D ;D

Take it easy on El-B Dave, he was being kind to a newcomer who has not yet had the pleasure of meeting him and hence would assume that he was the photographer and not the rider approaching. Alan

I figured he was giving you a friendly poke in the ribs. My reply was meant to be a bit tongue in cheek but it is not so easy to do in type. Only 39 days to go till I can stand in the same spot
