i allways found that the pattern ones dont last long, so best to use genuine ones, i spray them with silicon spray before fitting and spray the sliders regulary also, never had a one leak, i have replaced one of my divvie ones as it was leaking when i bought it, think that the silicon keeps the seal in good condition and stops crap from sticking to the sliders, works for me ;D

If the seals keep going on a regular bassis then you need to check the fork bushes as wear in them will make the seals leak.
The bushes are cheap enough to replace at the same time as the seals.
And yes pattern ones are not as good as the genuine and arnt that much cheaper if at all.

I'd also suggest checking the fork legs for damage, jags in the metal will tear the seals. I had to get a set of forks rechromed to cure leaky seals on my old Kwak.
