Hey Pebbles Some people still come on runs with rather 'dirty' looking bikes.. doesn't mean they don't care! about their bike, and probably still do all the right services etc, but just don't wash it, as often as some.. But the engine area behind the exhausts is a right hard place to get / keep clean>>

this happens to them all mate, you can get the Yamaha paint from MPS and respray the front of the engine, though its easier on the non oil cooler models ;D

Wait till you see mine.... Right mess is the front of the engine, and to be honest it can stay that way. Paint gets a good polish as do the body parts, but things like the nitty bits just get left.

That's another gripe to add to my list of carp bike *features* that never get fixed. Decent engine paint and a decent front mudgurad would solve the problem but like half decent stands, no rot brakes, etc it seems to be too much to ask for.
