How about put the brush down and get on your bike...
Or
Say you need to go and buy a new brush or some painting piece of equipment and go and get it on your bike... except take a long detour.

Any tips on how to get out of this then? Death isnt an option unfortunately ? Make such a mess of the job, she'll (hopefully) pick up the brush and do it herself. The odd little comment like, your a natural with that paint brush, and never knew you were so skilled, won't go amiss. By the time she's come down off her ego trip you'll be long gone. good luck. Don't worry TC, I'm stuck in too doing the decorating. So far I've done 3 ceilings, woodwork in 2 rooms and having a little brake before the wallpapering starts. SWMBO did not like bright blue and bright yellow wood work so I have had to change it. The scoobydo stickers going back on the wall are currently under negotiation. Still, I only started stripping the wallpaper about 2 years ago, so I have plenty of time to finish the job!!! Desperately trying to think of something else to type to keep me away from it all for a bit longer

Ohh, I do feel sorry for you. But please spare a thought for me.... I have been forced to go out and put some mileage on my new mistress ;D ;D Over 200 fantastic miles on her today and a very pleasant surprise, finding out just how good she handles ;D ;D ;D Ho Hum. back to the hard life again, SWMBO and the kids just come home, bet I have to go shopping now (anybody knows how much weight I can pack on a Divvy 900?)

Spent all day working on the bathroom, got sawdust all over my bike! Mmm, Most of us keep the bike in the Kitchen, handy for the fridge and kettle etc..... Bathroom seems a odd place and i really would not want to ride a divvy up stairs.

Why do folk wait until Easter to do the DIY when they had all winter to get on with it?. I walked down to B&Q (for some ant killer stuff) and thank goodness I chose to walk. The car park was jammed and the queue to get in was 1/2 mile long. What a bunch of saddos.

DIY during Easter, you've gotta be joking.
Do all the DIY during winter, warm sunny days are for biking,

alternatively sneak out very early in the morning and don't come back until after 6pm
better to beg forgiveness than to argue the fact

Reading this thread I get a bit disappointed. Any tips on how to get out of this then? Death isnt an option unfortunately ? There are several females registered here and yet non of them has come forward with a solution or a definite answer. Next time you see them dropping their bike, let them get it up themselves!

A view from a womans prospective..... i normally threaten to pay someone in to do it which normally prompts some sort of action. I must admit Pete is a bit of a perfectionist and i am not. Which works out pretty well for me because my best is never good enough...... so i dont even bother offering now.
