Hi, I`m a bit confused over the correct tyre pressures for my xj600n,Haynes gives 29/33 (front/rear) but i have read elsewhere on this forum that 33/40 p.s.i. is recommended-quite a difference. Tyre pressures are important,so which one is correct.(tyres are Bridgestone BT45`s.)

The pressures printed in the Divvy manual and Haynes are incorrect.
The higher pressures considerably improve the handling.

The pressures printed in the Divvy manual and Haynes are incorrect. T. I'm sure they are right for the original OEM tyres. But you should use the pressures recommended by the maker of the tyres you have fitted.

XJ600S Diversion 110/80 -17 57H BT45 2.5 130/70 -18 63H BT45 2.8
36-40 psi from Bridgestone for BT45s.
It's 33-40 for Avon Roadriders.

Michelins, which my 600 had as OEM had lower pressure recommened than the Bridgestones i changed to. On the fazer, the michelins again recommend a lower pressure than bridgestones... so always go with the tyre companys recommendation... if in doubt e mail them, i have found them to be very helpful.
