99-02 YAMAHA R6 REAR SHOCK IS DIRECT REPLACEMENT FOR D600 REAR SHOCK. PLUS...ITS 3CM LONGER THAN STOCK SO YOU GET JACKED IN THE BACK INSTEAD OF THAT WHAT-HAVE-YOU. TIGHTEN THE CHAIN AFTER ITS DONE OR YOU WILL BE GOING ABSOLUTELY KNOWHERE.

Great tip! Got a picture of the bike with the raised rear? I'm thinking 3cm at the rear is a massive jack at the tail end.
Only problem I imagine is the R6 has a linked rear shock, so the spring will be lighter duty as it works against a lever rather than the whole weight of the bike. That said, could it possibly be any worse undersrpung than the D6 unit?

But... the R6 has a much frimer ride, so prolly will be ok. Think I'll be trying it on Helga.

Thing with that, unless you already sorted it, it will show up just how horribly soggy your forks are.

I already know how soggy they are - jumping from the divvy to my bike is like getting off a blancmange and sitting on a razor blade

You know I looked at my 97 the other day while checking the regulator and thought it might be good without the black infill panel, I like it. Keep us updated!
