V quick question - baterry died on 900 Divvy yesterday (and today!). Asked missus to pick one up from Jordans - they said they had one ready. Put it in this afternoon - it's a lot tighter fit than the one I had in - so I checked. Last 2 I've had have been YTX8's. The one they've just sold me is a YTX14. and the Ah is different (bigger).
Can anyone tell me if this is going to be ok? - it works but dont want to do irreparable damage to the bike.
It's on bike (cos I needed to get to work) but Im sure they'll take it back if its the 'wrong' one.
Cheers

You'd need to double check this but I have a feeling if the voltage is 12v and the battery physically fits (connectors, physical size) it'll be fine. ...and higher Amp Hours is a positive benefit!

Just took a look on a battery supplier site on the web and it looks like they have given you the right battery for the job. I've posted the link here for your piece of mind. www.bateriasroute.com.br/i_ytx14_bs.aspCheers, Phil

Thank you 2 for your quick replies. I also phoned Jordans and they assured me that the right battery is now on the bike - the other was an impostor ( last time I just got the same as the one that was already in - wondered why there was cardboard stuffed in there!)
The lower Ah (8) of the original, is apparently a possible cause for its rapid demise (short daily runs and lovely toasty heated grips might also have assisted!).
Cheers all.

For a good bike shop in Leeds try Startrights not the best looking shop in the world, but i have found the service to be great.
