My trusty JTS textile jacket is ready to be replaced, after 3 years of use over winter, in fact probably 6 months a year day in day out !
Im on the lookout for a replacement, seen a few i like. Though it seems my taste is getting expensive as i get older!
Anyways, there is so many out there to look at these days, i thought i ask to see what people can recommend.
Bearing in mind that even though i ride 365days a year, i dont do cold :-)

I reckon Hein Gericke are the dogs, I bought my current 'all seasons' jacket and trousers in 2000 and have been totally waterproof and extremely warm in winter yet cool in summer. Looking to replace this year, the journey daylite jacket looks tempting. www.hein-gericke.com/uk/product_info.php/products_id/2834

my jacket is certainly NOT a fashion bit, and has never leaked on me yet ! It doesn't do every day stuff, but has seen me through 4 years. icluding three wales and three scotland trips, where it is known to rain a bit. A cheapo Buffalo cost just £79 from new, has removable lining, if it gets to warm. has pockets, most of which arn't waterproof, long enough to cover your bum went sat riding !!

I agree with Clive, I have never had a HG jacket but have heard nothing but good stuff about them.
I also think Berings are a great make for jackets.

I must admit to sticking to HG gear recently. Mainly cos we have a shop in Notts. No-one else has a decent range of gear you can go an have a look at and try on.
The 'yellow peril' took my eye too .....im all for practicality....

I always go to JTS factory shop in Coalville. Had the new jacket on at Postcombe. Always very helpful there and stayed open past closing time when I went there last. Matt

Most of our gear comes from HG. Can't beat it value for money. Wrote my last one off in an accident 18 months since, it was knackered but it did the job. The only damage to me was where I landed on my mobile phone, it was in the inside breast pocket. It's worth remembering when you put stuff in your pockets you might land on it one day, glad it wasn't a screwdriver.

Should have said my previous one I've bought another since. It's one of those that look like denim
