For those with GPS: N054.60434 W003.11935 From: ianboydsnr Sent: 8/1/2004 10:49 just a tip for those travelling to my neck of the woods, bar meals and beer in keswick are expensive, if you travel a further 13 miles to the gem town of cockermouth then these are much more reasonable, the wordsworth hotel on the main street are selling beer at a £1 a pint and have done for the last 4 months, most pubs are open untill midnight and the night clubs are free to get in before 10.30pm, best of all if you turn off the A66 and take the road to buttermere and then on to cockermouth on a good day you will be rewarded by stunning scenery.
