Thanks for the feedback peeps.
Just about to try the first bit of tinkering. Slight mod to stop the screen returning to the fully down position when you switch the ignition off.
Might also do a little introduction of the FJR to Mr Autosol and see how they get on ;D
Wish me luck....

Beautiful looking bike, Pooh Nice colour too. With a few members here now running FJRs, is it safe to say that the 'tickers' issue has been resolved? Or are older FJRs to be avoided? New ones OK? Or if looking for a secondhand one, is it important to get one with some good mileage already on it - indicating it's a good 'un?? I recall there was some argument about the high MPG ones being the iffy ones. Or was the whole 'tickers' issue blown up out of all proportion in the first place? I'm a little confused. In a year or two these machines will be within my price range so this is not solely idol curiousity. Martin.

Hi Martin
No sure about the answer to your questions as I'm still on a steep learning curve.
The reference to the high MPG bikes I think refers to the ones that were running very lean ( hence the high mpg) and the lean running was causing problems with I think the valve seats.
My bike is a US import and I believe they were set up to run pretty lean so I'm going to do a bit of digging about to see if I can find some more info on the subject and if necesary slightly adjust the settings( no idea how though yet)

Heads up people.........
There is likely to be a large amount of autosol and other chrome cleaning products hitting the market once Pooh clears out his garage.....
I claim dibs on the 1st box.....

I wouldn't sell my Autosol shares just yet, the stainless steel exhausts come up quite nice with a litttle attention.
As for the wheel rims.... well I'm debating whether to do them just now or to wait a while. I've seen a blue FJR with them done and it does look very nice indeed. ;D ;D
