Hi all, first time i have posted on the new site,i need all you knowlegeable members out there to give advice as my collector box has been blowing for weeks now and i keep patching it up with gun gum but i am only putting off the inevitable,so a question !,which aftermarket exhaust is best?,i have fitted motads to other bikes in the past and have been happy with them(no re jetting etc)but is there a better system?i will be keeping the bike(900 divvy) for years yet so would probably favour a stainless one,i am also worried in case a pattern one fouls my givi wingrack/panniers anyway has anyone got a recommendation?(hope so!) happy and safe riding all Mark

Firstly.... you'd be hard put not to find a better one than Motad. Quality is questionable and the fit isn't too good. Also sound a bit rubbish. If you want to go the 4-1 route, go for either a Remus system - they're good quality and usually a doddle to fit, or a laser system - again, good quality and ace fit. If you want to keep the original looks, go for Jama originals - look the same-ish, better quality than OE and sound tons better. Jools has just had a Jama system fitted, and I can confirm that her pipework is outstanding . ;D

Hi Markyam Are the downpipes and silencers ok ? If so why not just go for a stainless collector, about £100 from www.osmc.co.uk/HTH Dave ;D

Has anyone tried Predator exhausts for quality?

Not tried em meself, but know a few VFR owners who said the QC was a bit hit and miss, and the fit was less than perfect.

Guess that explains the "excellent" price.
Another thought... side case clearance. When your new shiney pipe melts a hole in your new shiney Givi, "They all do that sir" is not going to help much.

Jools says, "Jama originals from www.exactrep.co.uk" I just looked, they have all sorts, but I couldn't find any Jama originals. Personally, I fancy a 4:1, but dont want it poking up too high (side cases).

Hi Markyam
If you can hang fire for a couple of day till I get sorted out I've got a collector box for a 900S that is now surplus to requirements.
I'll need to dig it out and see what the condition is like. I can take some pictures if you're interested.
From what I can recall it's in OK nick.

The pipes on my 900 are ok for now, so I was thinking about getting a spare pair, but when the time comes, I fancy a 4:1. But only if the can isn't kicked up too much (side cases).
