If you have an owner's manual or Haynes / Clymer could you check the oil capacity when changing oil & filter please? After praying to the God Helicoil, I've finally removed the filter which some monkey had seriously over-tightened. New oil is in now, but I've stuck a tad over 3.5 litres in & she still seems to want more I don't want to rely on the sight-glass - it hasn't moved with the last half-litre I've put in. Thanks in anticipation .... Martin.

Sorry, can't help. However, have you got an owners manual? The crappy little booklet that comes with the bike. Maybe the fluid levels are in there? I have always relied on the sight glass when I do my own servicing, as you never know how much of the old oil is left in the system, especially if oil coolers are in use. Fill to top marker, then run the engine for a few moments (filler cap refitted) then top up again. Hope this helps. If not, I will try asking on throttle jockey for you. Plenty of T12 owners on that site. Good luck. RMJ

Thanks RMJ - I'll just keep slowly-slowly topping up then ;-)
