can some 1 tell how to Wiring a ciggy socket to battery please i thank you

All depends on whether you want it live when the ignition is off or not.
And how much power you're intending to put through it.

To be honest lighter sockets ain't that good.

The centre of the socket is + (Positive) and the outer casing is - (Negative).
You need to buy some wire which is capable of carrying the current that you intend to draw,

If you only want it to be live when the ignition is on then you have to find one of the switched wires that run into your fuse box (this is a wire that's only live when the ignition is switched on), and tap into that with a scotch lock

If you want it to be always live then just wire it direct to the battery with a couple of ring terminals

Hi,

I didn't fancy relays, so I bought a ciggy lighter socket from Maplins and a blade fuse holder. It's permanently wired to the battery. Just knick a spare 10amp fuse from your Divvys fuse box and plug it in when you want to make the socket live, and unplug it to cut power of completely. The fuse holder is in effect a crude switch. For bonus points I found that the lid from an old WD-40 can slots on the ciggy lighter perfectly and helps keep the dirt out (shown in photo).
