From: gordy Sent: 4/26/2004 Mrs Gordy ordered some Hood jeans and they arrived very quickly and the fit is perfect. Excellent service. Gordy From: Oldbiffer1 Sent: 6/16/2004 Mine also arrived within 3 days and fitted perfectly. I did talk to Hood about measurements and they were spot on From: GhostlyBlankStare Sent: 6/16/2004 Keep us up-to-date on how well they're wearing, eh? How good are the seams and are they likely to stand up to several summers usage (waistband permitting)? From: gordy Sent: 6/30/2004 Mrs found the knee pads a bit on the hard side, so she swapped them for the ones out of her winter breeks. On the French tour they were ideal in the hot weather, 33°C, not what we're used to in Jockland! Gordy From: barney Sent: 10/2/2004 I've had a couple of pairs of Hood Jeans for a couple of years now. I've got a pair of the 100-denier blue denim and a pair of the black Ansotex. The Ansotex fabric is pretty stiff and sounds like you're walking around in waterproof pants. But they are comfortable, if a little on the 'slim fit' side. What I have noticed is that they are waterproof! After a 15-minute ride home in a downpoor I was still bone dry. The denim jeans are a lot warmer and more comfortable, but aren't waterproof. Both pairs are regularly used for the ride in to work and I wear them at work all day. I've taken the body armour out as it isn't comfortable for working in, but there is no sign of wear after two-years use. I'm currently thinking of buying a third pair - especially as they now do a beige jean which is smarter than the denim for working in.

Just had a look on their site, if i had the cash to spare i'd order a pair no problem. could wear those and when walking around town etc you wont stick out so much with all the power ranger gear i guess. Very casual Here's the link if anybody wants a mooch: www.hoodjeans.co.uk/

Thought i'd add alittle to this for anyone looking for information.. I've got a pair of the new ND4 kevlar jeans. The quality of these is unmatched, they are superb! Fully covered in kevlar and are very comfy of the inside! On a really hot day you will suffer, but suffer less so then leathers or full textiles They have pockets for knee and hip armour, although ive fitted some hein gericke sas tec as theyre less bulky then the ones hood provide. But are very comfy when sat down. Do cost a pretty penny, but well worth it

+1 for Hood jeans, got a pair for summer riding and the quality is superb. Good heavy denim with Kevlar (or whatever they call it) down to the knees. The armour isn't obvious and they look like normal jeans when worn.
I found I needed a slighlty larger waist size than normal and got a longer leg length to stop them riding up too far when on the bike.

I have recently bought some hood jeans and I agree they are comfortable and the lining is very soft unlike the earlier type of liners my only complaint is like most trousers although they make big waist sizes they fail to realise that they need to make the waist higher I wear mine with braces or they would keep falling down alternatively I have hike them up which then restricts my lower 'ahem' parts this seems to be a problem I have for most trousers but I have seen you can buy high waisted trousers over the interweb but at a premium price so there is obviously a market for them Mick
