After an afternoon of IAM training in the torrential rain today, I was amazed to find my socks totally dry when I got home.
Full credit to my Frank Thomas Aquaboots - Ok they are not leather but they are very dry and comfortable, have shin reinforcement, and at £50 a pair I ain't complaining.
They do fur lined ones as well but they are a pig to pull on and off, and get a bit niffy after a while. Wear them with some nice thick socks in the winter and they are fine all year round.

I totally agree, only boot I have found to be 100% waterproof. A must for a wet journey.

Fi, i read an earlier message of yours about Ft aqua boots and decided I really needed a pair (You know what I mean,)my local shop in Stafford is a place called Ross Verdon Motor cycles and a visit today i learned they had stopped selling FT goods. Smooth tongue in there in order to flogg me his branded £89 super red slinkies reckoned I would have needed 2 sizes up anyway because of ankle guards.
I need to know if this is right in case I search on the web for a decent site.
If i really need to try them on then ok, what do you suggest?
Cheers

Hi Dave
News to me mate
I use size 12 in Aqua Boots, as well as in shoes, trainers etc etc. I have only over the last year realised that I have been squeezing my plates of meat into the wrong size (11) for years. Because of this I also had a pair of Aqua Boots in an 11 this fitted a lot better than my size 11 shoes.
My Aqua boots are so easy to pull on now that I often slip them on instead of trainers if I want to pop out to the shed etc.
Most decent bike shops will sell Aqua Boots - You can probably get a link for someone local from the Motrax Website see
www.motrax.co.uk/Index_pages/clothing/aquaboots.htm
Hope this helps Dave - I love em

I bought a pair from M&P and they were a bit tight around the leg. The other annoying thing is that I can only get them on with VERY thin socks on as the legs are so narrow. This means I haven't really bothered using them as the feet are too big without decent socks. Being a plasticky material do they stretch with use?
