Several members have enquired about the Remus system lately and one bought a set of pipes for £292 incl VAT and delivery. Regards Nick From: Bronco Sent: 15/03/2003 I have a Remus system on my 900 Divvy and can confirm it sounds good. At £473.50 from M&P it is a bit expensive but it's all aluminium. It's very light and good quality, also easy to fit and gives access to the oil filter.

I visited OS Stainless. Their kit is well made but can't vouch for the fit. Only doubts were they made an MZ 2 stroke downpipe out of a smaller tube than standard - they didn't appreciate that a smaller bore affects the already meagre performance. I don't know if they have a similar attitude with 4 stroke systems. All said, their stuff is strongly made.

900 divvy ... more performance Not often you see those in the same sentence. ;D To be honest ... a replacement exhaust system isn't going to turn a divvy into a rocket, so I'd probably forget about it. Just make sure what you fit is legal and works.

Just put a Delkevic S/S system on my 900, oval cans, so looks more modern £434 though!

last summer, I couldn't find a 4:1 anywhere for the D900. All were 4:2 and the thick end of £500. IIRC Delkevic downpipes, collector and clamps etc cost me about £220. Cans would be another £250.

"Just put a Delkevic S/S system on my 900, oval cans, "
Can you tell me how does the sound Delkevic S/S system?
I think to put Delkevic to my Divvy. It is not 4-1 but I have not found another option yet.

I believe it is not possible to get a 4:1 for the 900. I have only ever seen 4:2 systems. However, you could perhaps use slip-on type silencer cans for a louder sound and maybe less money.

Delkevic has removeable baffles.
I've removed them, sounds nice without being too loud.
Bike is being MOT'd on Saturday, I'll let you know how it goes.
I'll put the baffles in the topbox.... just in case!

Eliminator, is it difficult to install Delkevic system? Did you need synchronize carburettors after change?

The carbs should not need to be balanced.
I have Delkivic downpipes and collector box with original silencers. They used tubular type gaskets on all pipe joints. I filed off a few sharp edges and assembled everything loose. I also used new gaskets in the cylinder head, but do make sure the old ones are properly cleaned out.

Just bought some downpipes for my D6 from LM-Spares www.lm-spares.co.uk/ They have an ebay store and sell them for £134 with gaskets and next day delivery (about £4 more than Sandy Bike spares £130) The pipes fitted fine and fit well with original silencers. Followed CDs advice in another thread, removed silencers, fitted downpipes, re-fitted silencers (fitting all bolts in position before tightening). One of the silencers needed a little bit of leeverage (used a car jack) to get it in position. Access to the oil filter is okay - its very close to one pipe so I don't think a oil filter socket would fit but once loosened there's plenty of space to get the filter out.

Not sure if its already been mentioned but theres a company called 'IXIL' who make aftermarket exhausts (not sure if there full systems or not? - found out there silencers and link pipe) for the diversions, never heard of them though? Vance and Hines make a 4-1 system for the 600 also, which should be good? (its not listed on their website but i managed to find one on ebay?? [ item no. 260379611673 ] ) www.ixil.com/www.vanceandhines.com/www.motorcycle-exhausts.co.uk/

I followed Ixil for some time to replace 'standard' silencers. Amongst the cheapest until I bought Marvings from Wemoto at £188. Then they put the price up nearly 50%!
They've some good up-market goodies but I've always felt the 2000 era pipes are too modern for an average looking '92-on Diversion. In fairing lowers, hugger and short mudguard or very naked, perhaps OK though.

Been looking to see if i can just get collectors for a D6 which are listed by Ixil
Got this email back
I'm guess that by collectors they mean the whole front pipes at that price.....
