I've hit a little bit of an issue and I hope someone can help. I'm having trouble finding the central synchronisation screw; for balancing the two carb pairs. I have Reaper's DVD; which I've just re-watched, and I have the hayes manual, but I also have a 95 D6; which has different carbs from the bike on the DVD (96 onwards) and the Hayes manual has a pretty pathetic diagram. The only screw I can seem to find appears to be part of the throttle stop mechanism; which means that the idle speed goes up or down rather than balancing the carbs. I'd like to avoid having to disconnect the carbs again, but if I have to I will. I also think I may have been making a mistake by leaving the petrol tank vacuum tube unblocked Thanks for any advice T

not to sure if this will help! i have a d9,just looked in my haynes, underneath in the middle is the idle & the screw to sync the 2 pairs should be in between the middle 2 carbs at the top i think that most 4 cyl carbs are like that, i hope this helps you.

Hi Chunk, thanks for the info, but I figured out what I was doing wrong. The screw for the middle pair is on top rather than below like the left and right pairs. I had thought that this screw was related to the throttle stop/idle speed; as the revs seemed to change dramatically when I adjusted it. What was actually happening; was that I'd not realised I needed to plug the petrol vacuum hose and so I'd balanced the carbs rather badly without a true vacuum. Needless to say the bike ended up running pretty rough One watch of Reaper's DVD later and I realised my mistake. The bike is now running a lot smoother; even if I can't seem to get the balance perfect Course I've ended up with other problems, but they're covered in the topic I posted in the main forum. Cheers T.
