The fairing on my 600S has become detached at the rearmost mounting point (the bit closest to ones knee.) The allen key bolt is still there. It looks as though the bolt passes through a bracket and is secured by a (now missing) nut. Is this correct? My Haynes manual implies that the bolt just bolts into something like a captive nut but that doesn't look to be the case here.
I would check the fairing on the other side to see how that is mounted but it is so tightly and securely mounted I am loathed to start dismantling it!
TIA, Pete

Pretty sure that when I fitted Jools' fairing after the respray I used rubber wellnuts.... they can be had for a small fee from : www.tastynuts.com

Thanks for the info and the link. The information on the website enabled me to fix the fairing temporarily - it seems that the wellnut (which I presume is the rubber encased nut) had become compressed and mangled and somehow had been pulled through the bracket. I undid the nut and bolt and redid the fixing. The fairing is still a little loose on that side but a new set of fairing bolts and nuts should cure that in the longer term.
