you can buy the bits (frantically trying to remember where from....), but can you not just fit a slip-on ? What is the diameter of the link pipe ? I assume that if it's a nexxus it's probably 65mm cos of the internal baffling in the link pipe.A lot of Micron race cans are 65mm. Get a Micron can, cut the link pipe, job done Did the same with my GSXR750.......

You might need to factor in the cost of a carb jets kit and dyno runs to set it up. Best of luck, it should sound and go nicely. Dont forget to post your new jet settings when you have it all sorted. :-)

Don't worry about wleding on a flange - just get a db killer baffle - should do the job nicely. If your can says not for road use on, either polish it out (I did with mine) or put some tape over it - the tester is not allowed to remove the tape. As for jetting, every divvy I've ever seen has run rich, so you shouldn't have any problems with the mixture. If you're really worried, do a plug chop to check but TBH, they don't rev high enough to really hurt the motor through running too lean.

I always worry about burnt exhaust valves. Having only the one they tend to get hot if run lean. But as GM says if the bike is naturally rich the new can might put the mixture where it should be.
Totally OT, but... I read an interesting read the other week about the Rolls Royce Crecy 2 stroke aero engine from the WWII. It used a stratified charge and ran anywhere from 14:1 to 30:1 petrol to air ratio. Due to its being a low priority project, they had reliability problems, but 3000bhp for 22 litres was on the cards and a much better fuel economy. The Griffon 4 stroke made 2,500bhp from 36 litres and like any other petrol engine, needed 14:1 air fuel ratio with minimal variation.
The Crecy was killed by the turbojet.
