A trip down one of my favorite roads, the B5105 from Ruthin to Cerrigydrudion. You can probably guess from the place names, it's in Wales. CLICK HERE FOR LINK TO VIDEO

Great bit of road that, often include on a ride myself ! I live near Llandudno so quite local. Not far at all from Llandudno. If I do my usual route it's 66 miles to Ruthin (Google says it should take 1hr 57 mins. Yeah like that's ever going to happen ). Years ago me and Reaper used to do a yearly Divvy Club run from Llandudno at the end of September.
Used to meet up at Mostyn Champneys Retail Park. Then set off to annoy Chief Constable Brunnstrom and his boys in blue.

Wow, what a great pic, and a fab turn out too, I wish I could have seen that. Mr Brunstrom long gone now, thankfully, nowadays just ever increasing average speed cameras are the scourge. Still plenty of fab roads to enjoy despite them though.

Thanks for the memory Dave. I see me and B and the faithful old D9 in front of Carpet Right. Those were the days!! What was the year of that one? Yeah. It was a regular thing to have 20+ on a divvy run back then. Would you believe that was 2005. I had hair back then...

At a push we might get the numbers, but not the Divvys.
Is that Johny Fazer to the right (Farmers PA)?

What's the chance of a repeat of those days next year ? To be honest, very slim. Long gone are the days when we'd get 20+ on a run. And the days of 40+ went long before that. Derby and Postcombe runs could get 60+ in their heyday. I believe the record was 74 bikes. This was the first Derby run that Reaper and I got involved in to help Trev. out
Folk said nobody would turn up for a run that was over 100 mile long. There was a time when I organised the Welsh run we would fill the restaurant upstairs in The Queen Victoria in Church Walks But as people have moved on from divvy ownership they have left the club, There's a few of us that have stayed no matter what bike we riding now. But there aren't that many active members nowadays, not like there used to be. I would love to put on another Welsh run but would the turnout be worth all the effort. We shall have to see. Video taken from TIGGER's Youtube page. Video originally produced by POOH©Is that Johny Fazer to the right (Farmers PA)? Yes it is.

I suppose what you say about diminishing numbers is natural as people inevitably change bikes. I've certainly had a few more recent bikes myself, and just sort of came upon my Diversion rather unexpectedly! No plans to be rid of it anytime soon, just does everything I want so efficiently!
