Road Trip 2023 (MAP LINKS NOW WORKING)

Wasn't sure where to place this thread, so I shoved it here.

Well; it was a toss up between Scotland and Ireland for my 2023 road trip and after much deliberating, head scratching and many, many, many cups of tea, I decided to go back to Ireland (wet weather gear is already packed).


Day 1..
Thursday 27^th April.

Leave home late evening to catch the 02:15 ferry from Holyhead to Dublin.

120 Miles.

Friday 28^th April.
If all goes well and it doesn't sink I should arrive in Dublin at 05:30
Ride down to Cork via:
The Wicklow Mountains
The Nine Stones At Mount Leinster.
New Ross.
Take the ferry to Passage East.
Along the Copper Coast.
Erins Hope Monument at Helvic Harbour.
The Titanic Memorial at Cobh.

Then on to Cork for Night 1.

235 Miles.

Day 2..
Saturday 29^th April.
On to Kenmare via:
Head of Kinsale for the start of the Wild Atlantic Way.
Kilbritain Whale Bones.
Drombeg Stone Circle.
Mizen Head Peninsula.
Sheeps Head Peninsula.

And the Caha Pass to Kenmare for Night 2.

200 Miles.

Day 3..
Sunday 30^th April.
On to Killarney via:
Priests Leap.
Healy Pass.
Dursey Cable Car.
Glenbeg Lough.
Healy Pass (yes it's that good it has to be done more than once).
Seal Harbour.
Caha Pass (again).
Molls Gap.

And on to Killarney for Night 3.

190 Miles.

Monday 1^st May.
Ring Of Kerry 1.
Black Valley.
Gap of Dunloe.
Lough Caragh.
Coomakista lookout point.
Ballaghisheen Pass.
Ballaghbeama Gap.
Molls Gap.

And back to Killarney for Night 4.

152 Miles.

Tuesday 2^nd May.
Ring of Kerry 2.
Molls Gap.
Staigue Stone Fort.
Loher Stone Fort.
Kilrelig Artist Retreat Village.
Valentia Island (Bray Head, Grotto Slate Mine. Tetrapod footprints, Lighthouse).
Ferry to Reenard Point.
Cahergall and Leacanabuaile Stone Forts.
Kimego.

And back to Killarney for Night 5.

142 Miles.

Wednesday 3^rd May.
On to Kilkee via:
Caherconree Pass.
Inch Beach.
Dingle.
Slea Head.
Connor Pass.
Brandon Point.
Foynes Flying Boat Museum.
Tarbert Ferry.

And on to Kilkee for Night 6.

204 Miles.

Thusday 4^th May.
On to Kinvarra via:
Loophead Lighthouse.
Bridges of Ross.
Kilkee Cliffs.
Cliffs of Moher.
Doonagore Castle.
Corkscrew Hill.
The Burren Coast Road (Both ways).
Father Teds house.

And on to Kinvarra for Night 7.

162 Miles.

Day 8..
Friday 5^th May.
Homeward Bound.

Ride across to Dublin to catch the 14:45 Ferry to Holyhead. 

(Call in for a new Hard Rock 'T' shirt if I have time).

142 Miles.

Should dock in Holyhead at 18:20.

Then it's an evening blast down the A5 to LLangollen, then home.

124 Miles.

1,671 Miles altogether (excluding ferries).

If any one wants to tag along (or daft enough), you are quite welcome. 

But be quick,  B&B's are going very fast due to Irelands commitment to help temporarily home the Ukrainian people.
