And yet more decent roads ruined with speed averaging cameras.
Average speed cameras are being installed on the following Lancashire roads. The last 2 on the list are cracking roads, which is a shame.
The A581 from Rufford to Euxton. The A588 from Lancaster to Skippool. The A6 from Lancaster city centre to M6/J33. The A683 from the M6/J34 to Kirby Lonsdale. The A682 from Gisburn to Long Preston.
But most important of all: As long as you remember to set the cruise control you can get as drunk as you like, because speed cameras only know when you're speeding.

One stretch of road I know conveniently has a layby halfway through the route. I think my average speed through there is 8 miles an hour π.
(Though TBF Iβd rather focus on the road ahead than be checking for βrestβ spots along routes , but here we are π.)

There's a road I travel down with 2 average speed cameras along it, fortunately there is a lay-by just before the second one with a cracking view. You don't have to stop that long for the sat nav to show a reasonably low average speed. ππ π
