XJ600 Front brake master cylinder help please

HI all

My bike has been stood for some time with no fluid in the system On getting around to refilling I found that I could get no pressure at all at lever. I decided to rebuild. All went ok till trying to get the piston assembly out. It appears to be jammed solidly in the bore. Any advice on how to proceed would be gratefully received.

Hi Brian,

Can you clarify whether you mean the piston in the brake calliper?
Or in the master cylinder on the handlebars?

.... assuming you mean the front brake.
