Hi I am Stuart from Leigh in Lancashire. I am now on my 4th Divvy having started with a 1993 Xj600 before getting my first 2 XJ900's and loving them. I had a red 1998 X900 which I kept for Sunday best that never saw a wet road and I managed to get a green XJ900 of Ebay for £700 in 2007 which I used for commuting to work. I put on over 45000 miles on my green on (in all weathers) until sadly one day on the way to work it started with a misfire, but managed to get me home. I went to work in the car and just before I finished I get a phone call from the wife telling me the garage was on fire! My poor greeny had some kind of electrical problem that ignited the whole bike and the contents of the garage! My red bike was on the garage too but only suffered slight smoke damage and cleaned up a treat. Eventually after finishing work I got nagged into selling my red bike and immediately regretted it. Thanks to Ebay I bought my current bike (another 1998 Red XJ900) and this ones a keeper, just need a top box and carrier.

Hi Stuart and welcome. I am on my 4th 900 and enjoyed everyone.I had a red one that was up to 55k when following a significant rain storm it came to a stop. Many efforts to locate the problem never found it. It got started again, but I could never trust it so sold it on very cheap before getting my fourth. Colours have been dark blue, red, silver and green. Currently the silver one has done just over 12k, a 2003 model. The green one is in France and gets more mileage than the one here. Enjoy. Cheers, Mike

Hi Stuart. Welcome!
It is well known on here that red is the fastest colour for a D9. Good choice.
(NB this is not true when it comes to XJRs where the fastest colour is blue.)
Enjoy the ride.

Hi Stuart. Quite a story that. Very unlucky, but lucky at the same time, in that the whole lot didn't go up in flames. I have just the one Divvy. I have had it nearly 27 years. Its a green slow one, but that's the way I like it. I am quite close to you on the coast. Anyway enjoy your bike, and feel free to pop in here anytime. Maybe we will see you on a run in the near future. atb Brian

Hello fellow Diversion owners ..I am Neil from Plymouth. Just bought a 98 900 with 40k on the clock in dark blue..very clean. Now I'm wondering before I have even taken delivery...is it too heavy ?! Last beast was a 1200Bandit.
