Hello All, I am an older guy, 80 in June, been riding for 63 years on a multitude of bikes and recently sold my beautiful 2007 Yamaha FJR1300 as it was getting harder to move it around the drive etc., the arthritis is also making riding difficult. Thought I was finished riding but two weeks without having a bike in the garage I figured I had to have one again. Always rather liked the looks of the Seca 2 but never rode one, long story short, found a complete one at a wreckers, it had been abandoned and sitting outside for three years, bought it anyway and have spent the two months doing an almost total rebuild, about everything except the engine. In Canada the Diversion is called the Seca 2 and there do not appear to be many about here anyway and finding knowlegable people is even more difficult. I have learnt a lot about this old bike, and got it fired up yesterday and rode it up my street a very short distance today, (brakes will be fitted next week!) and it feels pretty darn good. I have lots of questions to ask in the coming days, only just discovered this forum this evening. Cheers, Michael

Welcome, Michael . After all your work, you might be the expert we need . Having said that, there's load of info' here should you need it - & where you can't find it, just ask. Chances are, someone will be able to advise, or it's buried in an old post. Test-ride with no brakes, eh ? I'm imagining you living at the top of a hill, burning your boots away trying to stop .

Welcome, Mike. Sounds like you've saved one of these fine bikes. Whereabouts in Canada are you ? It's a fairly big place...

Hello Gman, I live on the east coast of Vancouver Island which is not to be confused with Vancouver! Sort of the banana belt of Canada. Riding year round here is possible as we generally do not get very cold, or have much snow that lasts on the ground for long, but they do put "brine" on the roads which is brutal stuff to get on a motorcycle. I am quite pleased with the way the way she looks, pretty and nice lightweight to move around. Looking forward to riding ot soon.

Long way from where we usually visit - the wife has an aunt in Whitby, ON, although last time were were over we flew to Calgary and did some hiking in The Rockies while we were there

Hi Mike, The island is a cracking place. We did a house swap holiday some years ago and spent 3 fantastic weeks based in Victoria. So long ago and 3 weeks was nowhere near long enough 😁 Kids loved the hornet racing!! Although the bathtub races at nanimo were a bit of a let down... Very jealous of that area. Plenty knowledge on here so ask away
