Hi Folks, hope you are all surviving these difficult times.
I managed to sell 2 bikes and my boat(through a Boat Broker)My Sachs 650 went just before the lockdown and whilst it hasn't been collected yet, the Cagiva Raptor has been all but sold-the guy was taken by my description of using it on the NC500 and he lives in Inverness.
Trouble is I have been seriously considering hanging up the Biker gear, but as health dictates sailing is no longer a Solo option, the Classic Car Club scene still provides interest, however I cannot see me giving up the biking.
Someone local has a 900S Diversion however he runs a breakers yard and I had it on some authority the so and so's who broke in last year may well be in cahouts with such a Yard-Oh and the brakes need doing which OK I had plenty practice of having to do on both my 900 and XJ600S.
I just saw another with a Year's MOT , Blue Spot brakes and a bit cheaper(currently)its in Wantage. I wondered if M40 Man(Martin) knows of it?

But looks to me like a recent purchase by current owner (looking at it's records on gov.uk). It's not a tidy example so I wouldn't think it will sell for very much. Currently recorded as a green one. That reg number rings bells, I thought yonks ago someone on here had that. But I'm probably mis-remembering!

Just out of interest Bob did you win the D9? I’m sure Bobh wasn’t an interested party, Gav.

Don't worry, Gav, I read it the same as you did. D'oh! Reckon we both need to go to Specsavers Hope you're doing OK & not fully given up the idea of biking yet. (Quite honestly you put me to shame!) Is it still Viva La Viva? (great memories of your posts/attendance at runs). All the best.

Thanks Leatherbabe, No I'm not giving up bikes, despite a visit to a specialist revealing, after XRays, that Athritus is setting in to my knees particularly the right one which had become painfull to stand on.The one I had surgery on following an accident in 2016. So a referral to a physio is on the cards/and the Hospital will keep me in the loop-neither knee is operable on currently.
I know you are a plane enthusiast and I booked a visit to the Southend Vulcan day, however due to the aforementioned I didn't go in the end , however I joined the Vulcan Society and hope to go down there in a few weekends time . Yes I still use my old Viva on a regular basis and am going to a show Sunday at a Suffolk Country Manor-social distancing and all.
Keep well.

Sorry to hear of your health issues Gav, hope you can keep biking. I have all but stopped, Hips, knees and 5 damaged disks. Still have my bikes but neither the 1250 or the D9 have turned a wheel this year. other than MOT time. I think I might have to face facts and give it up. The knees and hips can handle a short rideout but the back can go at any time and frequently does. Luckily I'm working from home. Glad to hear the Viva (skip) still lives.

Likewise m8. Yes the Skip lives on-well it will when I get some issues sorted. I went to a show in a Suffolk Country house, well the grounds-there was such a traffic snarlup and the Viva cut out-a couple of good Samaritans helped push it off the road After about ten or fifteen minutes I got it restarted. Someone in a Merc clapped and said well done. Trouble was by the time we got in they weren't allowing vehicles onto the actual show ground. I had a stick so hobbled around, some really fabulous stuff and a very smart green Divvy 900 on display (Classic ) Another major problem on the old nail, being that the bonnet struts one side rusted and pulled away where they bolt onto the bonnet a common problem on old Vivas t'other side came out in sympathy, so I tracked down a new one, being unicorn rare, the guy I know He wanted 300 pounds(yep I know some would say that's more than the cars worth) a bit of haggling and its £275, once a car is removed a modern scrapper with defunct motor,so as he can get at it in his garage, hopefully this weekend, and a little job for the Kangooroo van picking it up(hopefully inclusive of a carb), as I managed to break the Olive connector when fitting a mechanical pump,as I suspected the electric one was partly responsible for the breakdown, one of those ongoing jobs one wished had never started and haven't helped the knees condition. Today I "borrowed" a link outlet from a compressor, however despite buying metres of Ethenol resistance after fitting a replacement fuel pump to my Aprilia Mille. finding the outlet pipes behind it and the tank had rotted through, but couldn't stop petrol leeking from the front of the Zenith Carb, so that's old sheds for you. I was knackered after mu abortive efforts, sohad a little ano domoni related nap, this afternoon, only to be awoken by a delivery of meds left out yesterday, as I had to throw some clothes on he had gone round the back, and remarked nice old Viva , seemed surprised when I said it gets used more or less daily, and it has been getting a few derogatory remarks re body condition-just like self-so if finances allow , maybe sell another couple of bikes,The Sachs 650 went, a guy came down from Huddersfield,in a Horseybox Tranny, just before initial lockdown, but a guy from Inverness wasn't so lucky as I stil have (his now) Cagiva,he was taken by my description of it being used on the NC500, and selling is better than the 2 breakins last year that left me well out of bikes and pocket and has made getting powerful bike insurance a real fath/ Then I may splash out on some repaint-the underside of the old Vauxhall is sound as an English pound. Good to hear from you, as I also only seem to pop in here occasionally.
