A339 Alton to Basingstoke rd has claimed the life of yet another motorcyclist, just seen it on teletext(meridian) 4 vehicle pile-up. 1 man arrested & realist pending further investigations. Just feel sad for the family of this rider & i hope justice is done to the person responsible for the bikers death.I live in Alton & its hard when i hear about accidents on this road because it is a fast & smooth road to ride & so easy to be caught out, so if any of you guy's 'n' girl's use this road please be careful & give it some respect. my thoughts go out to the family of this biker. ray

"gurninman sent this to me to remind me he's got summin I want...LOL!!!"that'll be a first. On a more serious note we've had another motorcyclist killed on the Island. www.iwcp.co.uk/News/DEATH_CRASH_MOTORCYCLIST_NAMED.aspxEdward was a regular at our weekly bike meet in Shanklin. His family have arranged a ride out on Saturday in his memory, which I'll be attending. He ws 38 (same age as me). Makes you think..... In the same week we had a 19 year old in a critical condition after his Kawasaki met a car... He's now in Southampton neurological unit but not looking too promising. I've slowed down a bit. Ady

I've had this arguement a nuber of times with Bloke about his FZR1000ExupRU.
He explained it to me properly with examples and won, so heres a breif explanation of why Gurninman's FZR is an Exup, as opposed to a Genesis.
The Genesis is a frame concept, the engine is used as a stress member (ok no rude jokes please) meaning that it becomes part of the frame rather than just mounted in the frame.
The Exup valve was added after the Genesis frame to modernise the bike, therefore if it has an Exup valve, then its an Exup, it still has the Geneisi frame and is marked as such on the bodywork, but it is the later Exup model.
