Just wondering if anyone has done this before, just trying to get my head around the best way to get the old one out? Mine is now leaking quite badly have changed oil etc and checked levels still does it. I have another one ready to go in.

No help here I’m afraid. Never had a leaky one & my Haynes went with my last one (not sure if Haynes covers it or not).

Got it off earlier, some heat and plus gas before driving a wedge between it and the bevel box meant I could then chisel it upwards - wasn't as difficult as it could have been. I think it was corrosion that was allowing it to leak. Staying dry so far! The breather seems to be the same item on all Yamaha shafts.
