Wondered if anyone has one of the above lying about. Been to Tomcats today to collect some bits and noticed noise from rear wheel. The wheel bearing on the drive side is breaking up. When I engage the hub into the drive and turn it (like you were spinning the wheel) it makes a graunching noise. Pretty sure it's not supposed to sound like this. The spacer that came out of there isn't pretty either. Anyhow there are a few on Ebay, but thought I would ask here first.

An update on the situation. This morning I replaced the broken bearing. I dressed off the burrs on the spacer/collar and re-assembled everything. By the way, the oil in the drive casing isn't contaminated (its clean). Spinning the wheel, everything seems ok - I think. The sound it makes is the mechanicals in the drive. We will have to see how it goes.

Hi Jona. Thanks for taking the time to reply. As in my last post, I think my one is ok, but have not tested it yet. If it turns out that mine is Knackered I'll give you a shout. I would appreciate it if you could give an idea of the condition of the drive - both mechanically and cosmetically. Cheers
