As my call for an oil cooler has drawn a blank and I have had nothing from breakers. What is the general consensus on just removing the oil cooler on a '99? The engine appears to run bloody hot with the cooler. It can still feel warm two hours after coming back from work, a 23 mile trip.

Early model diversions did not have oil coolers - these were only added 95/96? Having had a couple the early models and later ones - I reckon the early models used a bit more oil but that maybe because when I asked a dealer why they had added an oil cooler and they said it was burning more oil due the the high temp.
Reckon it will be fine without one. There are companies that fabricate oil coolers/radiators - haven't a clue how much....
