ok chaps, after some advice please. I want to do the forks and brakes upgrades and I’ve read the excellent threads on here about this.
The thing is, the blue spot calipers are meant to be used with floating discs so that got me thinking, is there a front wheel upgrade that anyone’s done? I was thinking about the wheel from a Fazer Thou which has floating discs and looks a wee bit wider.
the plan right now is to do the back wheel swap, brembo cylinders for rear brake, Hagen springs and 15 weight oil in the forks, blue spot calipers and a FZ8 master cylinder for the front. I’m just not sure about using the blue spots without floating discs, hence thinking about a front wheel swap.
cheers.
Dom.

A front wheel swap will present all manners of obstacles. My green D9 had blue spots on the original discs no probs. There's nothing special about the blue spots, that would preclude their use on non-floating discs.
