Wondered if anyone has a bike mount for the Garmin Zumo 550. Would consider a boxed GPS 550 with the mounts included. Many thanks.

A distinguished gentleman of high intellect, as I recall . Also have a RAM Mount for this (screws onto the back of the satnav mount) so I need to know what young Brian desires. The Garmin satnav mount, or that + the Ram Mount?

Hi Martin. What it is, I have the Zumo 550 which is mounted on the Divvie. Over the last couple of years I have been looking for a lighter bike. So last year I bought a TDM. At the moment both bikes are in use so I require a second mount (see I got there in the end). Getting back to your reply I think I would need both bits. Is the other (Ram mount) circular with four holes in it, with a 1 inch ball stuck to it? Sounds great. Can I ask you to pm me so we can discuss ways of making you part with the aformentioned? ATB

I have always used the same mount on every bike, only fitting a ram ball to the bars, on each bike then a 12v socket on each bike, then the mount swaps between bikes in a few seconds, the arm and the mount is what swaps, then it's plugged into the 12v socket.

Long time no hear Ian. I know what you mean - I hadn't thought about doing it that way. However on this model the mount is hard- wired. As far as I know, the cable is unique to this model.
Also I would like to thank M40man, as he has sorted me out from the inventory. Atb

Atb Mine is a garmin 550 as well, it's old though, and I have had to replace the screen, as the digitiser (touchscreen) stopped working, oh and a cycle innertube patch over the on/off button

I have just re-read your earlier post Ian. Doh! I have only just twigged. I am a bit slow. Yeh I could have done the same. By fitting a fag lighter plug instead of hardwiring, then plugging in to whichever bike you use. Cheers for that anyway Ian. Hopefully see you at the next run. ATB

There's a plug on the lead I've sent you! Better get drilling a hole somewhere to mount a socket 😃.
