Thanks for the email Gordy. Looks like a cracking route. There is also a back road that goes from Amulree , by Loch Freuchie, coming out at Kenmore. It's a bit of a bottle tester at times with some interesting decents on the Kenmore side of the hill. Re the extra mileage, probably not, don't forget I've got another 110 miles to get to callender and back. The thick end of 300 miles on the first outing of the year will be more than enough thanks. Weather will also be a consideration on the day with that sort of mileage.

Guys,
Much as I enjoy a decent whizz round Perthshire, had a cracking 3 hours there at the weekend, I think the weather forecast might have to be considered. Saturday shows a little rain, OK a lot of rain if your a southerner, but we should be alright there. Sunday it is forecast to Snow in the target area. Now I don't mind a bit of thrill seeking but do draw the line at negotiating Rannoch station - Dundee in the white stuff. Spectacular as the scenery would be.
Maybe I'm just getting Old, Dunc

Hmmm
Close eye on the forecast this week then.
If it's snow or baltic then I'll pass on that one.

You've got to be shi**ing me. The weather was Gordy -- One question. What happens after Rannoch Station. U Turn or do we all pile on the train as per the long way round.
